At the March Board of Education meeting we recognized several groups of students for their outstanding accomplishments in winter sports activities.
First, the 2A State Runner-up girls basketball team was recognized. They had a fantastic season, finishing with a 23-3 season. They represented Riverside High School at the 2A State Championship tournament in Dodge City in early March! Great job, Lady Cyclones!
Next, we recognized the basketball players who received Big 7 All-League Honors. Halle Studer, Taylor Weishaar, and Percy Duncan were recognized with first-team all-league honors. Niahla Duncan was recognized for honorable mention.
Finally, we recognized the students who were named First Team Academic All-State by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association. These students excel in the classroom and on the mat.
