Riverside High School is excited to celebrate Homecoming 2025 Friday, September 26th!
👑 The crowning of the Homecoming queen and king will take place at 6:30 PM on Cyclone Field, just before kickoff.
🏈 Following the ceremony, the Cyclones will take on Maur Hill in the Homecoming football game. We encourage all students, families, alumni, and community members to come out and support our team and celebrate this special tradition together.

The 2025 Homecoming Candidates include:
Trinity Jackson is the daughter of Heather and Bubba Jackson. She has been a four-year varsity letter winner in both volleyball and basketball. Trinity was a member of the girls’ basketball team that placed second at the state tournament during both her freshman and sophomore years. She was also a member of the dance team for two years and served on Student Council for two years. An honor roll student, Trinity has been active in the school’s music program, participating in choir and Cyclone Choir. She has been part of the choir groups that earned top ratings at the state choir competition for three consecutive years. Trinity has volunteered with Second Harvest, the St. Joe Bucks cheer squad, and helping paint a mural at the city swimming pool. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, binge-watching TV shows, and making money. After graduation, Trinity plans to attend college and pursue a degree in elementary education, with hopes of making a lasting difference in the lives of her future students. Trinity is escorted by her dad, Bubba.
Jessenia Perez is the daughter of Chelsea and Enrique Perez. Jess has been involved in four years of volleyball and softball, lettering three years in each. She was a member of the softball team that placed fourth in the state tournament last year. She is currently in her second year on both the dance team and cheer squad. A two-year member of both Cyclone Choir and Concert Choir, she was a member of choir that earned a top rating at the state choir competition her junior year. She has participated in SADD/SAFE for three years and served on the Homecoming Float Committee for four years. Jess works at Cyclone Studios and is a member of the Snacklets. She has maintained honor roll status throughout high school. Her volunteer work includes time with Second Harvest, Doniphan County Pet Rescue, and Vacation Bible School. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, photography, going to the gym, and spending time with friends. Jess attends Word of Life Church and is active in its youth group. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a licensed esthetician. Jess is escorted by her dad, Enrique.
Jaylen Wilson is the daughter of Mandy Fox and Jason Wilson. Jaylen has earned varsity letters in volleyball, wrestling, and track for four consecutive years. She was honored with the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Team Academic Award in recognition of her outstanding academic performance. She has participated in Powerlifting for two years, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) for three years, the Homecoming Float Committee for four years, and Band for three years. She is also an honor roll student. Jaylen has volunteered her time with the Doniphan County Pet Rescue, assisted at various school wrestling and track meets, and helped prepare the thrift store at the Doniphan County Sheltered Workshop. In her free time, Jaylen enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends and her boyfriend, playing sports, lifting weights, and shopping. After graduation, Jaylen plans to attend North Central Missouri College to pursue a degree in Radiologic Technology. Jaylen is escorted by her grandfather, Steve Wolfenbarger.
Ella Wisler is the daughter of Georgia and Jeremy Wisler. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout all four years of high school. Ella was a member of the girls’ basketball team that finished second at the state tournament both her freshman and sophomore years and a member of the softball team that placed fourth in the state tournament last year. Ella has also been an active member of Student Council for four years and a member of National Honor Society for the past three years. She is an honor roll student and has ranked in the Top 5 of her class for three years. Ella has volunteered her time with Second Harvest, Vacation Bible School, a youth dance clinic, an elderly companionship program, and a mural painting project at the city swimming pool. In her free time, Ella enjoys hanging out with her family and with Gavin, online shopping, watching Netflix and TikTok, and taking long naps. This spring, she’ll graduate with an Associate of Science degree from Highland Community College. In the fall, she plans to attend Missouri Western State University to major in nursing. Ella is escorted by her dad, Jeremy.
Beckam Griffin is the son of Matt and Aubrey Griffin. Throughout his four years at Riverside, Beckam has been a dedicated student and athlete. He has played football, basketball, and baseball all four years, while also competing in track during his freshman year. Athletics have been an important part of his high school career, and Beckam’s hard work and determination have made him a strong competitor in every sport he’s played. His leadership and commitment have been recognized as he was chosen to serve as captain for both the football and basketball teams. As a captain, Beckam has led not only by his performance on the field and court but also by encouraging and supporting his teammates, setting a positive example for younger athletes, and helping build a strong team atmosphere. In addition to high school sports, Beckam has played Legion baseball for the past 6 summers, which has allowed him to continue improving his skills, and building lasting friendships with teammates from around the area. His dedication to Cyclone athletics, summer weights and summer baseball has been a highlight of his high school years. Beyond athletics, Beckam has been an active member of FCA for all four years, served in Student Council for three years, and participated in both FFA and Cyclone Studios. In the classroom, he has shown strong dedication to his academics, earning a place on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll each year of high school. He has also received awards for his outstanding attendance throughout his time at Riverside. Faith and community service play a large role in Beckam’s life. He is a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wathena, where he is active in the youth group and helps with Kaden’s Closet, a ministry that supports families in need. In addition, he spends his Saturday’s volunteering with the youth football program, where he enjoys mentoring and encouraging younger athletes. These opportunities have allowed Beckam to give back to his community while building leadership skills that will last long after high school. When he isn’t busy with school, sports, or volunteering, Beckam enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family and girlfriend. He can often be found helping on his family farm, fishing with his friends, or out on the golf course. One of his favorite traditions is spending Sundays at his grandma’s house, a routine he especially treasures. After graduation, Beckam plans to attend either Kansas State University or Northwest Missouri State University. He hopes to pursue a degree in Agronomy with a minor in Precision Agriculture, preparing for a future career in the agricultural field. Beckam is grateful for the support of his family, teachers, coaches, and classmates and is honored to be part of this year’s Homecoming celebration. Beckam is escorted by his mom, Aubrey
Mason Hayes is the son of Susan and Lance Hayes. Mason is a three-sport athlete who has earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball throughout all four years of high school. He was recognized with All-League Honorable Mention honors as a linebacker during both his sophomore and junior seasons, and was named First Team All-League as an outfielder in baseball his junior year. He has also been a member of choir for four years and FFA for two years. He has volunteered at the fall festival, football team spaghetti dinners, Track and Field Day, the community Easter Egg Hunt, as well as during the school and DCSW relocation projects. In his free time, Mason enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, watching movies, hunting, working on old trucks, and staying active in sports. He is currently enrolled in the welding program at Highland Technical Center and plans to pursue a career in the welding field after graduation. Mason is escorted by his mom, Susan.
Chase Hewins is the son of Christina and Christopher Hewins. As a three-sport athlete, Chase has earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball all four years of high school. As a junior, he received First Team All-League honors as a defensive back, Second Team All-League honors as a kicker, and was named Sports in Kansas First Team All-State defensive back. He also holds the school record for most extra points scored. Chase is an honor roll student and has been involved in several school activities, including choir for three years, FFA for two years, FCA for four years, and Student Council for three years, where he currently serves as vice president. He has volunteered with Second Harvest and Vacation Bible School. In his free time, Chase enjoys playing golf, mowing, strumming his guitar, spending time with Trinleigh, reading business books, and playing sports. Chase is currently enrolled in the HVAC program at Highland Technical Center. After graduation, he plans to complete the program, earn his certificate in HVAC and plumbing, and begin an apprenticeship. Chase is escorted by his mom, Christina.
Maddox Meers is the son of Rashelle and Sam Meers. Maddox has earned varsity letters in both football and basketball for four years and served as the baseball team manager for two years. As a junior, Maddox was recognized with First Team All-League honors as an offensive lineman, as well as Honorable Mention honors for the Sports in Kansas 1A All-State Football Team and Non-Senior Small Classes All-State Team. He has served as team captain in both football and basketball for the past two years. Maddox is an honor roll student and has ranked in the Top 5 of his class for the last three years. He’s been involved in powerlifting, FCA, Cyclone Studios, and Student Council—where he currently serves as Student Council president. He also participated in Mosaic’s e2 Fellowship and is an HCC Gen Ed Completer. Maddox has volunteered at football team spaghetti dinners, with Second Harvest, during the school relocation project, and at the mural painting project at the city swimming pool. In his free time, Maddox enjoys scrolling TikTok, fishing, working out, and spending time with friends. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Kansas to major in Human Biology, with the goal of becoming a dentist. Maddox is escorted by his mom, Rashelle.
