Riverside 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders attended Reality U yesterday. This was an outstanding personal finance program for our students, learning about life as a 26 year-old. From this event, we hope there was some discussion at home last night, and maybe a Thanks Mom & Dad!

The JV football game scheduled to be at Jackson Heights tonight is cancelled due to lack of Jackson Heights players. There will be no game today and it will not be rescheduled.

Due to the forecast, we are making changes to our Homecoming day. We will decorate the cafeteria and provide students with activities throughout the day. The parade will begin at 2:00 weather permitting. If raining, we will invite all to the RHS Gym for our pep assembly at 2:15.

Riverside Juniors and Seniors went to Rosecrans Air National Guard Base today. The Riverside students were exposed to the many great career opportunities that are available, along with the benefits joining the Air National Guard gives students for free college tuition.

Students who have an outside date for the homecoming dance need to return their completed outside date form to the office today.
Today’s spirit day dress is BBQ Dad vs. Soccer Mom; tomorrow is spirit day. First block teachers please count spirit day participants by class and email numbers to Mr. Cera. The theme for Friday’s football game is Cyclone Pride.
Juniors and seniors will have lunch at 12:00 tomorrow. Freshmen and sophomores will eat at 12:30.
There will be float building tomorrow, weather permitting. Students need to dress appropriately for the weather and wear sunscreen – you will be outdoors most of the day, and bring a water bottle. Parade line-up begins at 1:45 and the parade will begin at 2:00. The pep rally will be held in front of city hall. Coronation will be held at 6:30. The game begins at 7:00. The homecoming dance will be held following the football game until midnight in the multipurpose room. Sandwiches and chips will be served during the dance. Admission to the dance is $5 per person.
RHS students!! We will be playing Volleyball in the RHS Gym instead of Powder Puff tonight. Bring your gym shoes and team of 6. Brackets will be set up at 7:45, so be there to get your team in the tournament. Booster Club will be providing free hot dogs and drinks!
