Huge day for Riverside Powerlifting 💪🔥 We had TWO state medalists today: 🏅 Luke Benitz (181 lb class) • Bench – 3rd • Squat – 4th • Clean – 5th ➡️ 3rd Place Overall 🏆 Nolan Horner (198 lb class) • Bench – 1st • Squat – 1st (NEW STATE RECORD – 525 lbs) • Clean – 7th ➡️ OVERALL 198# CLASS STATE CHAMPION!! And strong performances across the board: 💪 Preston Williams (132 lb class) • Bench – 8th • Squat – 4th • Clean – 5th ➡️ 5th Place Overall 💪 Hunter Hartman (165 lb class) • Bench – 5th • Squat – 8th • Clean – 8th ➡️ 8th Place Overall Incredible performances and a huge statement from our guys on the state stage. 🔥 Cyclones Sweep Jackson Heights! 🔥

Riverside Lady Cyclones rolled to 18-3 and 11-4 wins over Jackson Heights 💪

💥 Rory Stewart led the way with 11 total RBIs, including a 7-RBI game, a home run, double, and clutch hitting all night.
🔥 Kayahna Hewins, Niahla Duncan, Kennedy Griffin, Mia Jackson, Jess Perez, and Ebany Alverez all contributed at the plate, with multiple players recording multi-hit games and key RBIs.
⚡ The Cyclones racked up 29 runs on 25 hits, drew 9 walks, and used aggressive base running to keep pressure on all game.
🥎 In the circle, Mia Jackson and Rory Stewart combined for a strong showing, totaling 15 strikeouts, while the defense stayed sharp, including an error-free performance.

RIVERSIDE ELEMENTARY STATE TESTING DAYS
We will kick off with 5th grade testing in SCIENCE on Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1.
3rd -5th grade will test in ELA on Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9.
3rd-5th grade will test in MATH on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15.
If your student has any appointments during this time, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

The Riverside Varsity Cyclones came out swinging Monday night, sweeping the Horton Chargers 12-2 and 16-0 💪.

🔥 Kayahna Hewins: 5 RBIs in game one
💣 Kennedy Griffin: 2 HRs, 5 RBIs in game two
⚡ Strong pitching from Mia Jackson & Rory Stewart
🧢 26 total runs, dominant all-around team performance!

We also recognized the 2025 Lady Cyclone state tournament 4th-place team before the game!

The Booster Club would like to invite all Riverside coaches, athletes, and their families to the Riverside High School athletic banquet and awards ceremony on Friday, May 1st, at 6 pm. Forms will go home with students tomorrow, and copies may be picked up in the office. Anyone planning to attend the banquet must fill out a banquet form and return to the office by Monday, April 13. Booster Club will cover the cost of the dinner for student athletes and coaches. All other attendees will need to submit a $15 payment, per dinner guest, with their banquet form to the office. If you do not plan to eat and will only attend the awards ceremony, no form is needed. An online form is available for those who would like to pay online. If you use the online form, there is no need to return the paper form. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Davis at adavis@usd114.org
