BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING NOTICE OF CHANGE The regularly scheduled Riverside BOE meeting for Monday, February 13, 2023 has been rescheduled until Monday, February 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. it will be held at the District Office Board Room, 1409 Vermont , Elwood, KS 66024.
Riverside USD 114 public store is now online and open for business. Currently only the Riverside High School Store has items to be purchased. If you are a Junior planning to take the free ACT on March 28th at RHS or a Senior who wants to improve their ACT score AND did not sign up with Mrs. Vertin last week - Please see Mrs. Vertin ASAP to get signed up for ACT Prep. These prep sessions will be held during Seminar 2x/week until test day.
Safe Winter Driving Tip for Today – Keep cruise control off. Adaptive cruise control is a fantastic tool for long trips with consistent conditions. As helpful as it is on a summer road trip, it’s a nightmare for slick winter roads. Should you lose traction with cruise control on, your car will naturally try to maintain a consistent speed. When you regain traction, the likelihood of losing control of your vehicle is high due to rapidly spinning tires. For the safest trip possible, avoid using cruise control in ice or snow. This useful feature is better reserved for drier conditions.
