Riverside had sixteen spellers representing our school at the Spelling Bee held in Troy Wednesday. In an unusually long Bee, Kamryn McCauley, an 8th grader from D. West, took the top spot followed by Troy 5th grader, Zoey Doss. One of our 8th graders, Hunter Hartman, just missed out on a trophy finishing third, misspelling his thirteenth word of the day. Julian Mariscal had a nice performance as well with a 7th place finish while attempting 10 words. Other spellers for us on the afternoon were Isabella Hendrix, Kaleb Livingston, Hadley Newton, Hannah Anderson, Kaden Conard, Zoey Jones, Kenlea Nelson, Egan Baird, Gauge Cordonnier, Aurora Gray, Keagan Hughes, Chase Hewins, Justin Watkins, and Preston Williams. All of our spellers should be congratulated for earning the right to stand up and show their skills in spelling. Way to go, Cyclones!
